The Sunday School curriculum for Southside Church.

This site is a printable archive of the curriculum's weekly lessons and activity sheets. Pick a week from the navigation, download the lesson PDFs and the activity sheets you'd like to use, and print on plain paper (or cardstock for the prayer cards).

What's on each week's page

  • Sunday lesson plan — the 45-minute teacher plan for the morning class.
  • Wednesday application — the 35-minute follow-up class.
  • Activities — five printable sheets per week, ready to print:
    • Coloring page
    • Word search
    • Drawing prompt
    • Fill-in-the-blanks worksheet
    • Take-home prayer card

Some weeks also carry a crossword puzzle (with a separate teacher answer key) when the vocabulary fits.

Getting set up to teach

Each week is built as a unit. The Sunday plan and the Wednesday application share the same bottom line and memory verse, so the kids hear the same one idea twice. Read the For the Teacher section at the top of each Sunday plan before class — it lays out the bottom line and the theological framing for the week.

Print the activity sheets you plan to use ahead of time. Most weeks work cleanly with three or four of the five sheets — pick what fits your room and your kids.
